The Department of Global Witness and Ministry is the official organism of missions of the African Methodist Episcopal Church; this department is well connected to strong Companions, Heads of Missions, Ecumenical friends and Corporate Entities. It has been the department’s practice to communicate with the commission chair and bishops of the affected areas to extend help and hope following a major storm.
When our work matches our witness, then we can serve well and live out the words of the familiar hymn, “If I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or a song, if I can show somebody he is traveling wrong, then my living will not be in vain.”
Global Witness is the circuit and conduit of many gifts; in-kind and contributions to overseas’ mission. As executive director, I am grateful to so many constituents, congregations, and volunteers for your part in helping us to help others.
